How I saved hundreds of dollars for Christmas.

Christmas is an expensive time of year for most.  For my family,  we set a strict budget for Christmas and try not to go over.  This year though is the first year I came out under budget!
We set a $900 budget for all Christmas gift purchases. Since I don't work and my husband has had a kind of crappy sales year, we needed to have a strict budget to not overextend ourselves.

For a few years, I've been using some money making apps to earn a little extra cash for Christmas and birthday gifts. This year it's really paid off!  I was able to use $150 from these apps to put toward Christmas! Using rewards from stores has saved me a good chunk of cash as well!

Want to know exactly how I saved so much money?

Kohls: I love taking advantage of Kohl's because they have great deals,  and they give you kohls cash for purchases you make.  This year I did some shopping at Kohl's and ended up with $55 in Kohl's cash. So I was able to use that toward a few gifts for my extended family,  and another gift for my hubby.

Ebates: get $10 just for signing up! If you still have shopping to do, this will give you money back for purchases you make. I've already earned $20 and I signed up at the end of October! Sign up here.

Verydice: I've used this game for a couple years now.  This year I saved $30 on a toy for my kid just from this game! I still have a lot more credits I could use towards other purchases if I chose to.  I know a lot of people use this game to buy diapers and other things. Is definitely worth trying out! Use my friend code to get you 30 rolls to start out! 513485

Ibotta: Use this wonderful app anytime you grocery shop. I've saved so much money on my groceries,  and you can get gift cards to many stores including Amazon! Get $10 for just signing up!!
If you don't have this app,  download it now! Use my referral code: hvokosm

I-say: If you are looking for a legitimate survey site to earn money,  try out I-say! I've only used it for a short time but have earned a couple gift cards that I've used toward Christmas! Sign up today!

If you hurry, you might be able to earn a little money to put toward your Christmas this year! Or start saving up for next year! You won't regret it!

How To Do Vegas Right For Your 21st Birthday

The 21st birthday is a big one to celebrate.  You're finally out of your teens,  you can legally drink,  and you're considered an adult (more so than an 18-year-old).
If you're going to celebrate this great phase in life,  you need to do it up right!  Vegas is the place to celebrate.

Being a responsible adult,  you need to find some good friends that can join you on your excursion to Las Vegas.  Once you have found the right people to join you,  you must start planning.
Hotel: There are many hotel choices when staying in Vegas.  But you MUST stay on the strip if you plan on drinking.  It makes transportation and navigating so much easier.

Trust me,  you don't want to have to pay a taxi ride from the outskirts,  to the strip, and back.  Save that money for something better! I highly suggest staying at Mandalay Bay , or Ceasars Palace. But, if you have specific bars and places you want to go,  find out what hotel is closest to the area you will mostly be in.  It ma…

My Favorite Finds of 2018

2018 is coming to a close. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by.  2018 brought many fun things to my life.  For 2018 I made a goal to get out of my comfort zone,  to be a better parent, and to find more hobbies that interest me.  I did a pretty good job with all of these parts of my life. I started this blog which is really out of my comfort zone.  I've also been able to make a few new friends which are a miracle for me.   I worked on how I talk to my kids.  Apologizing to them more often when I do something wrong,  and making sure I tell them I love them as often as I can.  And as for the new hobbies, I've started a few.  I count my blog as a hobby since it's not really a money maker right now,  and I love writing for it.
I've found a bunch of things that have improved my life in some way or another and I want to share them with you.  Maybe you might find something new you haven't tried or something that can improve your life in 2019!

How to Find Success in Life

Success is something everyone wants, but we might define it differently. A lot of people associate success with having lots of money or having a fancy job title.
I think success can be a lot of different things. You can have success in relationships,  or creating that family you always wanted,  maybe it's being a successful athlete,  or getting that master or doctorates degree you have been working so hard to get. I think success can be anything you want that involves you to work hard to get.
There are some things you can do to help you live the successful life you want.

1. Have a great emotional intelligence.
Emotional Intelligence is something that is important to work on regardless of where you are in your life. To have or improve on emotional intelligence, you need to work on understanding both your emotions and other people's emotions.
When your able to identify how your feeling, you are able to control them better. It will help you to be able to step back and look at…
